Philippians 2:9-11 9 For this reason God highly exalted Himand gave Him the namethat is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesusevery knee will bow—of those who are in heaven and on earthand under the earth—11 and every tongue should confessthat Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father.

Central Point: The life and work of Christ are all part of God’s redemptive plan so as believers in this glorious work and must succeed through their faith in Jesus.

Key points:

• 1. To be able to understand the redemptive plan of God is the only way to show a Tangible love to our neighbors, workmates and the church.
• 2. Our intention here on earth must have a Redemptive awareness (Christ had set us free; what it is to live with humility and grace?) . Whatever that we do in a creative way must be guided by Christ-like character.
  • Redemption is about God as Reigning King. Our work is an avenue to demonstrate Christ rule until He comes back again. (this is our proclamation- the Gospel)

A Petition: For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints 'inheritance in the light. He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, in Him. Colossians 1:9-14
